 Boots Self-Locking Nut:

  • This normal nut with height increase to accommodate a fiber locking collar, it’s very tough and is unaffected by immersion in cold water or hot water like a carbon tetrachloride or gasoline and it’s not damaged bolt threads, this fiber locking collar isn’t threaded and inside diameter is small more than the large diameter of threaded the portion of the corresponding bolt, when bolt screw into the fiber collar is cause the push upward for the fiber, the elastic stop nut is made from aluminum alloy or steel ensure when reusing this locking that the fiber isn’t lost it’s locking friction and if can the nut turn just replace with other.

Sheet Spring Nuts:

  • This type is using in conduit clamps, electrical equipment, and access doors are like speed nuts is used sheet metal self tap screws in non-structural place is made from spring steel and is arched prior to tightening, this arched for preventing the screw from working loose, this type of nuts uses only in the fabrication of the aircraft.
