  • when walk around inspection have you noticed blue light blinking on your strobe lights or nav lights on a certain occasion, Ever wonder why is there a blue light blinking?

  • Most enhanced A320 family aircraft with an LED lighting system have a blue light below each strobe light allows monitoring the strobe light wear (LED technology). When STROBE SW is OFF or ON, this light flashes in blue. There is also one on the nav lights as well.
  • blue light below each navigation light allows monitoring the navigation light wear (LED technology). When the NAV and LOGO SW is ON, this light flashes in blue.
  • is  known as End of Life (EOL) indication (blue flashing LED), which signifies that nav light/strobe replacement needs to be planned within the next 950 hours.
